All I heard were lies,
Of how nice you were.
Sure, you were cute,
Every girls dream guy
So we started dating.
I barely even knew you.
My friends told me,
You were a player,
But I didn't listen.
I only knew you,
From what others said.
Then you opened my eyes.
All the warnings were true.
Should have listened to my friends,
I shouldn't have trusted you,
When you whispered I love you,
In my ear,
Making me feel good.
Everynight now, I wonder
If dropping out,
Because I was pregnant,
You running off,
My parents kicking me out,
Living in a homeless shelter,
Was all because of you
Or me,
Falling in love with my eyes shut.
