You promised me roses,
You gave me a frown.
You promised me dinner,
You made me drown.
You promised me hope,
You let me fall down.

You promised me stars...
And healing for my scars.

You promised me respect,
You chose to regret.
You promised me warmth,
The cold I can't forget.
You promised me happiness,
Now it's in debt.

You promised me love...
But I am not who you think of.

Empty promises,
Freeze my soul.
They make me feel empty,
Consume me whole.

Empty promises,
Are hard to deny.
The truth is stabbing me,
And I feel so high...
